Based on a tip, three days ago in Kartal, Istanbul, police went
to an address and found the body of Fatih Uçar (32).  Uçar's
throat had been cut and he was laying in the driver's seat of a
taxi that had been in an accident.

Police looked at the taxi's meter and noted a 14 TL fare, enabling
them to determine the spot where the murder suspect had boarded
the taxi.  An examination of surveillance camera footage produced
an identification of the suspect.

Yesterday, police arrested Ömer G. (27), who explained that
"I told him how to get to where I wanted to go. He got mad and
said 'I'll go my way.'  So then I got mad and cut his throat." (!)

As a public service: ladies, when in Istanbul avoid this taxi!

In Beşiktaş, Istanbul, taxi driver O.R. (62) was taken into custody
for verbal sexual harassment of a customer.  The incident occurred
in the evening hours in the Etiler neighborhood and developed as
follows: customer A.D. (40) boarded the taxi and shortly thereafter
suffered verbal sexual harassment from the driver O.R.  The woman
passenger spotted a police team and got out of the taxi.

A.D. told the police that "this driver verbally harassed me in a
sexual context.  I boarded the taxi and he said to me 'you have a
hankering for me.'  I was in shock. I'm filing a complaint against
him."  The police then took O.R. into custody and it turned out that
O.R. has a long record of complaints against him for sexual
harassment.

In 2004 and 2009 was arrested on sexual harassment charges for
showing his sex organ to women customers (!).  It was determined
that O.R. cruises around the Etiler, Ulus and Levent neighborhoods
and only picks up women as customers.

For years, O.R. has been the subject of complaints and warnings on
social media.  Many women have posted on Twitter that O.R. should
be banned from driving. Other women have warned about O.R., saying
"he's a deviant. Don't get in his taxi!"
