             Soooooooooooooo cute!

Prey Protection Teams from the Forest and Water Affairs
Directorate in Iğdır province found three wild 'saz' (jungle/reeds/
rushes) kittens in a forbidden military zone on the slopes of Mt.
Ararat. The kittens had lost their mother and were immediately
checked out by a veterinarian.

The teams searched for the mother cat's location, found it
and left the three kittens nearby. Because of the black tufts
of hair on their ears, the cats are known by the name 'sazlık'
(reeds, rushes), the place where they normally live alone.

         No good deed goes unpunished.

Shepherd Hüsnü Gezer (22), was grazing his herd of goats
in a mountainous area of Başdeğirmenci village on the border
of Batman and Diyarbakır provinces when he had to rescue a
goat that had climbed up on rocks 75 meters high.

Gezer rescued the goat but he couldn't get himself down so
an AFAD (search & rescue) team from Batman fashioned a
rope system to reach the stranded shepherd and bring him to
safety.
